Here is a good example of why voting matters. Several years ago the Republican majority Supreme Court in Pennsylvania ruled natural gas companies did not have to pay the mandatory 12.5 percent royalty share to which land owners were legally entitled. Consequentially, gas and pipeline companies deduct large fees from the land owners share sometimes to the point of NO payment for the natural gas. At that point, I decided that I would never vote for a Republican Supreme Court Justice again.
Fast forward to the present. The Democratic controlled court forced the state to redistrict the gerrymandered congressional districts which the U.S. Supreme Court has upheld.
Several districts will probably switch from Republican to Democratic seats. This increases the odds that the U.S. House of Representatives will become controlled by the Democratic Party.
This greatly increases the odds of the impeachment of Donald J. Trump.
