Having read the April issue of the Senior Sun, I was pleased to learn about various means to avoid telephone scams and to deal with robocalls. It’s also important to know that Marc Friedenberg, candidate for U.S. House of Representatives for our district in the May 21 special election, will address robo-spam calls by legislation that would require phone companies to authenticate calls that originate from computerized systems rather than from real people. If you further want someone to protect us from terrorist hackers and selling your data online, Marc’s own experience as a professor of cyber law and global economy at Penn State will be invaluable in Congress.

Beyond that, Friedenberg calls for broadband Internet expansion in our rural district to spur business development in digital technology, to enhance educational opportunities, and to add good jobs related to connectivity installation.

Marc Friedenberg also will fight for affordable health care and the protection of our water and game lands. All registered voters who live in District 12, regardless of party affiliation or independent status, may vote for Marc in the May 21 special election.. Taking no campaign donations from corporate PACs, he is a candidate who will represent our needs in Washington with integrity and knowledge.
