Fire ravages auto garage in Loyalsock Township
Smoke billows from a large five-bay garage at Second Chance Autorestoration, 1871 Motters Lane, in Loyalsock Township, where a fire broke out about 2:35 p.m. Thursday. It took about 40 minutes to bring the fire under control. There were no reports of injuries. Smoke from the fire could be seen as far as Foy Avenue in Old Lycoming Township. A state police fire marshal was on the scene investigating the cause of the blaze, which resulted in extensive damage to Second Chance Autorestoration on Motters Lane, which is just off Lycoming Creek Road, south of Log Run Road and north of Hays Lane. Firefighters from Montoursville arrive at Second Chance Autorestoration to assist in putting out a garage fire on Thursday afternoon. Loyalsock Township Volunteer firefighters responded on the initial alarm along with Old Lycoming, Hepburn Township and Williamsport.
