What should Holocaust education be about? This has become a matter of some debate in the United States and worldwide. Recently, the issue reared its complex head in connection with an organization on whose Board I serve. President Trump all but declared a recent Friday as V-I Day, for Victory over Iran, but hold off on the parade. “IRAN HAS JUST ANNOUNCED THAT THE STRAIT OF IRAN IS FULLY OPEN,” he wrote Friday on Truth Social. That’s also what the April 8 U.S. cease-fire was supposed to allow. Re-opening the Strait is good news, if it happens this time, and financial markets behaved as if they think it will.
