Lawless

This country is definitely at a turning point; turning unfortunately in the wrong direction. The liberal lawlessness and lack of support for our brave and dedicated law enforcement personnel have gotten out of hand. Criminal assault and attempts to injure or kill our law enforcement officers has the support and consent of liberal mayors and governors. These attacks upon our dedicated public servants who are sworn to uphold the law and protect the safety of all regardless of political persuasion, only to be spit on, attacked and face possible injury or death while performing their sworn ...

Theatrics

I watched several hours of the House Judiciary Committee hearing with Special Prosecutor Jack Smith on Thursday, January 22. Every Republican I saw wore a self-satisfied smirk, dripping disdain and contempt for the truth. Their only interest was character assassination of Jack Smith. Most of them who asked Smith questions interrupted when he tried to answer. Many were careful to end their comments with exaggerations, hints, insinuations, and innuendos just as their time expired, giving Smith no opportunity to clarify or defend himself, and making certain that THEIR assumptions were ...

A paradox

How is it that the liberal protesters in Minneapolis can protect, physically defend and decry the arrests of rapist, child molesters, murderers, extortionist, human traffickers and all sorts of criminals who are here illegally, who resist arrest and even attacking with deadly force the officers arresting them. Campaign spending requires voters’ attention

Pennsylvania’s judicial-retention balloting last year was an eye-opener, but not because of which candidates’ retention bids were successful. Rather, what was remarkable — and troubling to many people of this commonwealth — was the total amount in cash and the value of other support ...

What other newspapers are saying: Affordable housing a necessity

Finding affordable housing in Frederick County and indeed all of Maryland can be difficult and frustrating, and political leaders have identified it as a major problem. The solution, as any economist will tell you, is to build more homes. The affordability issue is caused by a shortage of housing. Scarcity equals higher prices in housing as in any other product. A state report published this month says Frederick County should produce 16,000 new housing units in the next four years to meet demand. The county is doing its own study, with results expected later this month, but the ...

Grow up

This is response to that disgusting letter titled “Un-United States” in this column in a recent edition. This whole business of rioting by those left-wing lunatics in the formerly great state of Minnesota and elsewhere in the country is occurring only because of the extreme incompetence of the Biden administration allowing a massive influx of illegal immigration which included pushers of dangerous drugs killing Americans, child traffickers, thieves, murderers, rapists, and God knows what else. ICE law endorsement officers are there doing their patriotic duty by fighting this evil ...
