Muncy's girls soccer team defeated Millville, 6-1, in the District 4 Class A playoffs to advance to the quarterfinals. The Indians will face Southern Columbia, a 9-1 win over Williamson, on Saturday at a time and location to be determined.
Mia Edkin scored twice and Emilie Nagel had a goal and assist for the Indians. Alecteyona Smith, Cierra Charles and Addie Eyer also scored.
Muncy held a 13-8 shots on goal advantage.
Two first-half goals helped Lewisburg defeat Warrior Run, 3-1, in the District 4 Class AA playoffs. Raygan Lust tied the game with 24:33 remaining in the first half, 1-1. Sophie Kilbride would put Lewisburg ahead by scoring her second goal of the half with 13:19 to play, coming off an assist by Ella Koontz.
The Green Dragons' final goal came with 26:08 to play when Caroline Blakeslee scored.
• The Williamsport girls volleyball team lost on the road at Central Mountain, 3-1 (11-25, 25-11, 25-10, 25-11).

• The Lycoming College women's basketball team was predicted to finish sixth in the MAC Freedom coaches' preseason poll.
DeSales was the unanimous favorite to repeat as the conference champions, while Stevens (51), Misericordia (46), Arcadia (44) and Delaware Valley (32) rounded out the top half of the poll. King's (29), Wilkes (17) and FDU-Florham (10) rounded out the poll.
The Warriors return four starters in guards junior Emily Zoscin (7.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg), senior Allison Wagner (7.2 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 4.0 apg) and sophomore Allison Butler (5.2 ppg) and junior forward Kenzie Reed (5.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg).
• In women's soccer, Lock Haven lost to Shepherd, 3-2, in a PSAC Eastern Division game. In the 30th minute, Josie Swartz drew a penalty during a LHU corner and delivered a strike for the 1-0 lead. Shepherd scored twice to go ahead, 2-1, before Swartz scored again to tie it. Sara Hohn scored the go-ahead off an assist by Madi White.
Senior Stephanie Moir made a game-high nine saves in net for Mansfield, but th Mounties fell to Millersville, 5-0. Sophomores Emily Smith and Taylar Luckenbill, freshmen Katelyn Rueppel and Kerrah Clymer and junior Gabby Swan all recorded shots on goal for the Mounties.
Rylee Donaldson added yet another highlight to her sensational junior season, scoring her Patriot League-leading 10th goal of the season two minutes into overtime to lift Bucknell to a 1-0 victory over Lehigh. The win secured the No. 4 seed for the Bison, who will turn right back around and face Lehigh again on Sunday at home in a Patriot League Tournament quarterfinal matchup.
• The Lock Haven University men's soccer team cruised to a dominant, 4-0, win over Shepherd. The Bald Eagles got off to a flying start in the first half and pushed two goals past the Shepherd goalkeeper. Zane Puhala found the net in the 21st minute off a through ball from Samuel Hershey.
Hershey added another assist on LHU's second goal when he sent a low cross across the box, which found the foot of Beckham Sibiski. The strike marked Sibiski's fifth goal on the season and Hershey's sixth assist.
Junior defender Brayden Wise scored in the second half to tie the game for the Lycoming College men's soccer team , but a goal from King's College in the 77th minute helped it to a 2-1 win.
Wise's unassisted goal came in the 60th minute, tying the game for the Warriors (7-7-3 overall, 3-4-0 MAC Freedom), as he struck from the center of the box and sent the ball to the far left corner of the net for his first goal of the year.
• Lycoming Junior David Tomb, a Jersey Shore graduate, made his second appearance on the D3football.com Team of the Week after posting 3.5 tackles for loss against Albright.
Tomb -- a 5-feet, 9-inch, 180-pound defensive tackle -- posted six tackles, three and a half for loss, half a sack and a forced fumble in a 28-7 win against Albright.
• Three sophomores scored and August Lewis registered her seventh shutout of the season to lead the Mansfield University field hockey team to a 3-0 victory over Bloomsburg.
After a scoreless first period, sophomore Kalin Duke got the Mounties (9-8, 4-5 PSAC) on the board when she connected on a one-timer from fellow sophomore Hannah Meyer in the 22nd minute.
