Jahan Dotson caught 11 passes for 242 yards — a new Penn State single-game record — and three touchdowns.
Dotson’s 86-yard TD from Sean Clifford broke a 14-14 tie early in the fourth quarter.
The Nittany Lions, now 6-3 and 3-3 in the Big Ten, got another 45-yard reception from Dotson later in the fourth quarter, setting up a short Jordan Stout field goal and a 24-14 lead before PSU safety Ji’Ayir Brown’s 87-yard interception return for a touchdown with 2:39 left set the final score.
Maryland, which trailed 7-6 at halftime and never led, fell to 5-4 and 2-4.
