Visiting Chef Alisha (Howell) Summa, owner of Lynn Sandy's Bakery in Scranton and a 2012 Graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology's baking and pastry arts degree, demonstrates a plating scheme with M.J. Harbron, a student, for the dessert buffet that would close out the college's Visiting Chefs Dinner. The event benefits student scholarships. Alicia L. Walters, student, joins Charlie M. Suchanec, chef de partie, Le June Chef Restaurant, in preparing an appetizer for guests as they toured the baking and culinary labs. Visiting Chef Kristina Wisneski, 2013 graduate who went on to win multiple episodes of the Food Network's "Chopped" television series, demonstrates plating for the second course at the dinner. Wisneski, sous chef for Pure Roots Provisions, guides Penn College students in the making of a meal. At left of Wisneski is Penn College student Jared D. Schwenk and to the right is Penn College student Daniel S. Gray. Tuna tartare with soy, crispy shallot and micro cilantro was among the hors d'oeuvres offerings at the event.
