Mr. and Mrs. Carl F. McDaniel observed their 72nd wedding anniversary Nov. 2, 2018.

They were married by the Rev. Ralph Hinkleman at the former Calvery Methodist Church.

Mrs. McDaniel, the former Gladys Harer, is a native of Linden. She is the daughter of the late Grace Sholder and Harry Harer. She graduated from the Williamsport High School and retired from the former Mid-Penn Magazine Agency.

Mr. McDaniel, a native of Pittsburgh, is the son of Henrietta and John McDaniel. He graduated from the Williamsport High School and attended the Williamsport Technical Institute, now Pennsylvania College of Technology. He also attended the University of Tennessee, where he studied Roentgenology. He served in the army during WWII in Wales, France and Berlin. He retired from Coburn Ind., where he was production manager.

They are the parents of the late Sherry Ann Good. They have two grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
