Cogan Station couple honors golden anniversary
Mr. Thomas W. and Lucille Tallman Sr., of Cogan Station, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary today, June 13. They were married in 1970 at the Warrensville United Methodist Church, Warrensville.
The former Lucille Irene Bower, of Williamsport, is the daughter of the late Raymond and Ernestine Bower. She graduated in 1968 from Montoursville Area High School. She retired as a certified nursing assistant from the former Sycamore Manor in Loyalsock, now known as AristaCare at Loyalsock, and recently worked part-time at Tony’s Delicatessen, Williamsport.
Thomas, of Williamsport, is the son of the late Thelma and Kenneth F. Tallman. He attended Montoursville High School. He recently retired from Wal-Mart Transportation in Tobyhanna as a truck driver for 15 years. He was formerly the owner, operator and truck driver leased to the Daily Express Inc., in Carlisle, for over 25 years.
They are the parents of Kenneth R. (Kim) Tallman, Thomas W. (Michelle) Tallman Jr., and Tina L. (Chad) Earnest, all of Montoursville. They have six grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19, a card shower was created for family and friends on Facebook to “shower” them with greeting cards by mail and a billboard was created in their honor by Lamar Advertising at the corner of East Third Street and Northway Road.
