Montoursville couple honors 60th anniversary
Robert “Bob” and Barbara Pace, of rural Montoursville, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 9. They were married by Rev. T. Otto Borr at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Williamsport. They are active parishioners of the St. Boniface Church.
Bob is the son of Walter “Wally” and Esther (Smithgall) Pacacha, of Williamsport. He graduated from Williamsport High School in 1955. He served in the Marine Corps and retired as a major in the Air Force. While completing his bachelor’s degree in history at Lock Haven University, he met and married Barbara. He retired from the Department of Defense as a civilian contractor based in the area at Northrop Grumman and Litton Industries.

Reed Company in the late 1950s and early 1960s. She now enjoys crossword puzzles, knitting and membership in the Montoursville Garden Club.
Their four children are Sharon (Gene) Martini, of Glen Mills, the late John S. (Mary Beth) Pace, J. Brian (Karin) Pace, of Harrisburg, and Susan (Kim) Hubbard, of South Williamsport. They have five grandchildren.
Over the years, Bob and Barbara developed a love for RVing and spending time in Florida.
