Local couple celebrates their 60th
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Smith are celebrating 60 years of marriage. Nate and Nettie were united in marriage on August 6, 1960 at the Oriole United Methodist Church. Nettie retired from the Jersey Shore Area School District after 29 years, where she worked as the administrative secretary for the assistant superintendent.
Nate worked for Bell Telephone Company and AT&T for several years, then along with Nettie owned Jersey Shore NAPA Auto Parts store from 1985 to 1998. They are the parents of three daughters, Pamela Bardell of Williamsport, Kimberly (Joe) Sander of Jersey Shore, and Glenda Frank of Nashville, Tennessee. They have six grandsons.
They divide their time between their home in Rauchtown, and their lake house in Floral City, Florida.
