Montoursville couple reaches 50 years of true love
Mr. and Mrs. Donald A. Hepburn, Montoursville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 29. They were united in marriage by Rev. Stanley P. Hartung at Faxon Kenmar United Methodist Church in 1970.
Mrs. Hepburn is the former Connie M. Waltz, daughter of the late Clifford and Arlene Waltz. Connie graduated from Loyalsock High School, Shenandoah College and Mansfield State Teachers College. She taught fifth grade at Hepburn-Lycoming Elementary School before becoming a stay-at-home mom. She later was a substitute teacher in area school districts.
Donald, son of the late Chester and IdaBelle Hepburn, graduated from Williamsport High School. He retired from Sheet Metal Union Local 44.
Mr. and Mrs. Hepburn are the parents of two children, Andrew T. Hepburn (Charlene), of Montoursville, and Donielle E. Berghold (Barry), of Fleetwood. They have three grandsons, Christopher and Nicholas Ormonde, and Jake Berghold.
In honor of their anniversary, a dinner hosted by their family was held at Waltz’s Creamery and Farm House Cafe.
