Husband and wife from Montoursville celebrate 50 years of marriage


Paul “Mike” and Dianne Larson of Montoursville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 22. They were married at Trinity United Methodist Church, Jersey Shore, by Rev. Harry Klingeman.

The former Dianne Edwards of Jersey Shore is the daughter of the late Theodore and Jennie Jeirles Edwards. She graduated from Jersey Shore Area High School in 1967 and the former Williamsport Area Community College. She retired as a licensed practical nurse in the office of Dr. David Lopatofsky after serving 44 years in many nursing capacities throughout the area.

Mike is the son of the late David and Martha Larson. He graduated from South Williamsport Area High School in 1966, attended Lycoming College, then served four years in the U.S. Air Force before retiring with 34 years of service with Verizon.

They are the parents of Michelle Costanzo of Northampton, Matthew (Jennifer) of Montoursville, and Melissa (Jason) Jackson of Montoursville. They have eight grandchildren.

They are planning a Hawaiian Cruise in August of 2021.
