Montgomery couple reaches 50th wedding anniversary
Rodney K. and Betty J. Gohl of Montgomery celebrated 50 years of God’s faithfulness on Nov. 27. They were married in 1970 by Pastor Raymond Colas at the First Baptist Church of Elimsport.
The former Betty Tilburg of Montgomery is the daughter of the late William and Margaret Tilburg (Carroll). She graduated from Montgomery Area High School and was employed for many years at the Loyalsock Animal Hospital.
Rodney, formerly of Williamsport, is the son of the late Archie Kiess and Gladys Brubaker Gohl. He graduated from the Williamsport High School and Williamsport Area Community College with an associate’s degree in business computer science. He retired in 2017 from FIS.
They are the parents of Christopher K. Gohl (Alyssa) of Cary, North Carolina, and William K. Gohl (Mary) of Troy, Ohio. They have one grandson, a step-grandson, a step-granddaughter, a step-great-grandson and three step-great-granddaughters.
A trip for the Gohls will be planned after the COVID crisis is over.
