Mr., Mrs. Eck observe 75th anniversary
The children of Eugene and Arlene (LaPan) Eck, of South Williamsport, are proud to announce the 75th wedding anniversary of their parents on February 12, 2021. They were married by the Reverend Francis Richards at Holy Redeemer Church, West Lebanon, New Hampshire.
Mrs. Eck, a native of Hanover, New Hampshire, is the daughter of the late Adele (Bora) and Timothy LaPan. She is a graduate of West Lebanon High School and was employed by Lunt Silversmith, Greenfield, Massachusetts, making an airplane part under a World War II defense contract.
Mr. Eck, a native of South Williamsport, is the son of the late Magdalena (Haefner) and Eugene Eck. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School and served in the Air Force during World War II. He retired from GTE Sylvania.
They are the parents of eight daughters, Linda Bobkoskie of Johnstown, Carol Shire of Niagara Falls, New York, the late Kathleen Jameson of Williamsport, Phyllis Frey of Partlow, Virginia, Gail Nordlof of Milton, Wisconsin, Sharon Faust of South Williamsport, Joyce Szymberski of Milton, Wisconsin, and Cynthia Mussina of Williamsport; and three sons, Donald of Cohocton, New York, Stephen of LaVista, Nebraska, and Michael of Clarks Summit.
There are 23 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren with another on the way.
A family gathering will be held post-Covid to honor their anniversary.
