55 years for Florida couple


Chris (Ludwig) and Harry Kieffer observed their 55th wedding anniversary May 14th.

Mrs. Kieffer is from Cogan Station. She is the daughter of the late Clyde and Betty Ludwig. She graduated from Williamsport High School and Beckman Beauty Academy in 1964. Chris is a co-founder of Iron Disorders Institute and has worked on projects with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and National Institutes of Health and media awareness programs and seminars.

Harry is from Trout Run and is the son of the late Betty and Harry Kieffer Senior. He graduated from Williamsport High School class of 1961. He retired from Masonite/International Paper in 2002 in Cordele, Georgia. Harry held various management positions during his 37-year career that included the Towanda operation and as plant manager at the Watsontown location.

They are parents of two daughters, Tina Allen (husband David) of Labasa, Fiji, and Rachelle Eddy (husband Blaine) of Hughesville.

Chris and Harry have four grandchildren: Ryan Allen of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Justin Allen (deceased), Kayla Eddy and Avery Eddy of Hughesville.

In honor of their anniversary, friends hosted a special party in Del Webb, Stone Creek, Ocala, Florida, where they reside. A trip is also being planned for a later date.
