Kathleen Louise (Stibgen) and Donald Eugene Snauffer of Montoursville are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today May 22, 2021.They were married by the Revs William Slee and William Martin at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Williamsport. They are members of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Montoursville.
Mrs. Snauffer, a native of Williamsport, is the daughter of the late Franklin W and Ruth L Stibgen. She graduated from Williamsport Area High in 1967 and received a degree in nursing from The Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1970. She retired in 2015 and is employed as a perdiem Registered Nurse by Montoursville Area School District, Loyalsock Township School District, and Dr. Kenneth Durrwachter.
Mr. Snauffer, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Robert G and Lillian "Trudy" Snauffer. He graduated from Montoursille Area High School in 1967. He retired from Phoenix Trim Works as a maintenance foreman. He is also a farmer.
They are the parents of 3 sons, Andrew M (Evgeniya) of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, Kenneth W (Jenifer) of Muncy and Michael A (fiancee Casandra) of Montoursville. There are six grandchildren, Zoey, Khi, Daniel, Aurora, Phoenix and Savannah.
In honor of their anniversary, a trip to Hawaii is planned after Covid.
