Marvin and Beverly Fishel, of Williamsport, are observing their 55th wedding anniversary on May 14, 2021. They were married by Ronald Julian at Fairlawn Community Church.
Mrs. Fishel is the former Beverly Waltz. She was born in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Elmer and Josephine Bennett Waltz. Beverly graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1958. She was first employed by Sylvania. She then drove school bus for the Williamsport Area School District for 35 years and is now retired.
Marvin was born in Pine Grove Mills, a son of the late William and Millie Weaver Fishel. He is a 1955 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. He served in the Army, 2 years active duty and 18 years in the reserves. He is retired from the Williamsport Post Office, where he was employed for 30 years.
Beverly loves gardening, riding bicycles and her John Deere tractors. Marvin shares the same love for John Deere tractors.
The couple is parents to two sons, William (Lori) of Cogan Station and Dwayne (Catherine) of Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
They have 4 grandchildren: Haylee and Eli of Cogan Station and Ryann and Teagan of Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
