Shirley Ellen (Schultz) and Timothy S. Shannon, of Montoursville, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on May 23, 2021.
They were married by the Rev. Walter Schell at Faith United Methodist Church, Montoursville.
Mrs. Shannon, formerly from Rochester, N.Y., is the daughter of the late Eleanor and Maurice Schultz. She graduated from Montoursville Area High School in 1968 and the former Lock Haven State College, now Lock Haven University in 1973. She received a Master of Education degree from Bloomsburg University. She retired from the Montoursville School District after 35 years of service as a teacher at McCall Middle School.
Mr. Shannon, a native of Montoursville, is the son of the late Evelyn S. Shannon. He graduated from Montoursville Area High School in 1968 and the former Lock Haven State College in 1972. He received a Masters Equivalency from Penn State University. He retired from the Montoursville Area School District after 35 years of service as a teacher and a coach at Montoursville Area High School.
They are the parents of two sons, Timothy B. of Summit, New Jersey. and Michael S. of Yardley, There are six grandchildren.
