Kenneth and Cecelia Wachter will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, June 26. Mrs.Wachter is from Loyalsock Township and is the daughter of the late James and Kathaleen Dorner and Shirley and George Garlick. She graduated from Loyalsock Township High School and has retired from Jersy Shore Hospital. Mr. Wachter of South Williamsport is son of the late Earnest and Doris Wachter. He graduated from South Williamsport High School and has retired from Jersey Shore Hospital.
They were married on June 26 1971 at Saint Ann's Roman Catholic church by Monsignor Edward T. Sullivan.
They have four children Jennifer( Brian) Meckley of Montoursville Kathaleen (Chad) Dunlap of Lock Haven, James Wachter and Nicholas Wachter of Jersey Shore. They have eight grandchildren: Conner Meckley,Kylie Koch, Kally and Kendall Dunlap, Jeffery, Alicia, J.C. and Quentin Wachter and one great Grandson Caiden Mandel.
They are celebrating on June 26 with a family party.
