Harold and Marjorie (Bowen) Brown, of Liberty, will celebrate their 65th anniversary on June 17. They met showing their Holsteins and Guernseys at county 4-H shows. They were married at Welsh Settlement Congregational Church by Pastor Gerald Moorhead on June 17,1956. They are members of Salem Lutheran Church in Liberty.
Mrs. Brown is a daughter of Roy and Hazel Bowen of Welsh Settlement and graduated from Wellsboro High School in 1955. Mr. Brown is the son of Leon and Alta Brown and graduated from Liberty High School in 1952.
They lived on and farmed together the farm where Harold was born, and it has been in the family for 100 years.
They have shared many experiences along the way and made many friends through their activities in area, county and state.
They are parents of Nancy (deceased) (Greg) Davis of Penn Yan, New York, Donna (Neil) Bushong of Columbia, and Janet (Dominic) Romero of Allentown. They have two grandchildren, Kavita Bushong, who lives in Ohio and Kyle Bushong, who lives in Minnesota.
They will celebrate with a family dinner.
