Rodney E. O'Brien and Gail O'Brien observed their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 1.
They were married by Pastor Ralph Hartzel at Messiah Lutheran Church in South Williamsport.
Mrs. O'Brien is the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Sheneruy. Gail attended South Williamsport Area High School. She retired from the Cancer Center of Divine Providence Hospital.
Mr. O'Brien is the son of the late James and Ethel O'Brien. Rod graduated from South Williamsport Area High School and joined the Navy. He is retired from Van Campen as a salesman.
They have three children, six grandchildren with one deceased and six great-grandchildren with another on the way. Their children are treating them to an anniversary dinner at Nomad Distillery.
