James III and Judith (Drapcho) Kerschner of Hughesville observed their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 14. They were married by Monsignor Thomas J. O'Shea at Saint John's the Evangelist Catholic Church in Bellefonte.
Judith, a native of Bellefonte, is the daughter of the late Emro and Louise Drapcho of Bellefonte. She is a retired Emergency Room nurse from the Muncy Valley Hospital.
James, a native of Bellefonte, is the son of the late James (Jr.) and Shirley Kerschner of Bellefonte. He retired from SCI Muncy, and the U.S. Army Reserves as a Lt. Colonel.
They two are the parents of two sons, James IV (Jeanne) Kerschner of Hughesville and Jason (Gabrielle) Kerschner of Unityville.
In retirement, they enjoy spending time with their friends, family (especially their grandchildren Jay, Aiden, Devon and Shea) and doing whatever they want.
A gathering of family and friends was held to celebrate the special occasion.
