40th anniversary celebrated with three-city tour

Bonnie and Tim Mahoney celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Sept. 5, 2021.

They were married in 1981 at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Louisville, Kentucky, by the Reverend Father Ronald M. Kettler. They are members of St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Williamsport, Pa.

Mrs. Mahoney, the former Bonita Clare of Louisville, is the daughter of the late Thomas and Suella Clare of Louisville. She graduated from Assumption High School, Louisville, in 1970 and from Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond in 1974. She is retired as executive director of Lycoming County Medical Society in 2019 and retired in August 2021 as manager of Rider Park.

Mr. Mahoney is the son of the late William and Marjorie Mahoney of Williamsport. He graduated from Williamsport High School in 1969 and Lock Haven State College in 1973. He earned his master’s degree in juvenile delinquency in 1975 from Eastern Kentucky University. He retired from Lycoming County Prison as Director of Treatment in 2014.

They are parents of three daughters, Meghan (Hadley) in Boston, Mass.; Caroline (Josh) in Pittsburgh; and Colleen in Louisville.

They plan an anniversary tour of all three cities in the fall.
