Montoursville couple observes 55th wedding anniversary

Lee and Peggy Woodhead, of rural Montoursville, observed their 55th wedding anniversary Sept. 18. Lee was born and raised near Forksville, the son of the late Frank and Lavinna Caseman Woodhead. Peggy is the daughter of Woodrow and Myra Shultz of Montoursville. They were married in the First Evangelical United Bretheran Church, now Methodist, in Williamsport by the Rev. Melvin Whitmire. After serving in the U.S. Army, Lee worked for George E. Logue for many years before going into business for himself. Peggy was a rural letter carrier for more than 30 years out of the Montoursville office.

They are the parents of three sons: Thomass (Jill) Woodhead of Montoursville, James (Mandi) Woodhead of Colorado Springs, Colo., and David (Sarah) of Moorseville, N.C. They have eight grandchildren: Noble, Jade, Mckenzie, Ayden, Julia, Cole, Weston and Wyatt.
