Local couple observes golden anniversary

Frank and Marilyn Huff, of Montoursville, are celebrating 50 years of marriage. They were married on Jan. 15, 1972, at the First Baptist Church in Canton by Pastor Dewey Ashby.

Marilyn, the former Marilyn Kay Lundy, is the daughter of the late LaRue and Elouise Lundy and graduated in 1969 from Canton High School. In 1970, she earned her license in practical nursing from Williamsport Area Community College. She worked as an LPN at Williamsport Hospital, and then stayed home to raise their children until becoming a school nurse for the Montoursville and South Williamsport School Districts until retiring.

Frank Leonard Huff is the son of the late Alfred and Alice Huff and graduated in 1966 from Sullivan County High School. He earned a construction science degree from Williamsport Area Community College in 1969. He is an electrical foreman for TurnKey Electric and has been a practicing electrician for 53 years.

They have four children, Heather Waldron, David Huff, Sandra Trick and Caleb Huff; five grandchildren, Ivy, Quincy, Milo, Emma and Otto; and one great-grandchild, Jax.

Their children are hosting a party for them in their honor, and the couple is planning a trip to Disney World, the location of their honeymoon.
