It was cold and windy atop Shade Mountain, but the Lord held off the forecast rain so that Faith and Billy could truly enjoy their "best day ever."
Faith Elizabeth Upright and Fred William (Billy) Solt Jr. were united in marriage on Oct. 9, 2021, at one o'clock at the beautiful stone Mt. Pisgah Altar located in Beaver Springs, Pa. The name "Pisgah" comes from the Old Testament and refers to the place where Moses stood to view the Promised Land. The Rev. Donald Peters, Kittanning, officiated the ceremony. In addition to the traditional wedding vows, the couple also prepared and read their own personal testimonies of God's faithfulness and their promises to one another. A reception followed at The Bread of Life Restaurant, Mcalisterville, Pa.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Sharon Upright, Montoursville. Billy is the son of Ellen Boreman, Lewistown. The bride was escorted to the altar by both of her parents. Fawn Upright, St. Mary's, Alaska, was harpist for her sister. She played a special rendition of "You Are My Sunshine" for the wedding processional.
Fallon Hazellief, Lake Placid, Fla., was matron of honor for her sister. Flower girl was Esther Pearl Upright, McIntosh, Ala., niece of the bride. She scattered sunflower petals down the aisle. Ring bearer was Isaac Mark Upright, McIntosh, Ala., nephew of the bride. He carried a sign that read "Uncle Billy, here comes the catch of your life." John Hedrick, Mount Joy, Pa., was best man for his brother-in-law.
The bride graduated from Pennsylvania Homeschoolers Accreditation Agency in 2016 and is employed at Dunham's, Burnham as an Assistant General Manager. She also owns and operates "Blooming Upright," a floral design business on Facebook. Billy graduated from Indian Valley High School in 2010 and is employed by Corvette America, Reedsville, as a Receiving Team Leader.
After a honeymoon trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple is residing in Milroy, Pa.
