Congratulations to Jim and Kathy Hillyard on 50 years of marriage on April 22, 2022. The couple was honored at a celebration held at the Hughesville Friends Church on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Kathy (nee Curry) is a 1971 graduate of South Williamsport High School. Jim is a 1970 graduate of Williamsport High School. Jim is a retiree of PPL Electric Utilities, and Kathy continues to work as an EAW for the State of PA as well as being an independent sales director for Mary Kay Cosmetics for 19 years.
The couple was married April 22, 1972, at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Williamsport, with Pastor Donald Baker officiating. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Melinda Benway Confair of Salladasburg and Heather Dick of State College. Additionally, they enjoy being the proud grandparents to Gabriel Dick and great-grandparents to Leo and Lyza Benway. In the words of Richard Bach, "True Love Stories Never Have Endings." Congratulations to 50 years.
