Couple celebrates 73 years married

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd E. Furman, of Williamsport, will be observing their 73rd wedding anniversary on Monday, April 25.

They were married in 1949 by the Rev. Charles M. LeFew at Washington Square Methodist Church, Hagerstown, Maryland. They were members of Trinity United Methodist Church on Lycoming Creek Road.

Mrs. Furman, the former Norma J. Koch, is a native of Cogan Station.

Mr. Furman (Jack) is a native of Williamsport. He retired from Textron Lycoming and served in the Army during World War II.

They are the parents of two sons, Lloyd E. II (Susan) of Cogan Station, and Max W. (Kathy) of Elimsport, and two daughters, Pauline F. Schreck (Carl) of Mifflinburg, and Janice L. Graybill (Chuck) of South Williamsport. There are eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
