George and Crystal Michael of Williamsport celebrated their 50th anniversary recently. They were married at the Grace United Methodist Church by Reverend Yaple on May 27, 1972.
They are the parents of Jennifer Gilbert of Harrisburg, Lisa Jamison of Williamsport and George Michael Jr. of Mechanicsburg and grandparents to Tyler, Elizabeth and Jacob of Harrisburg; Emma of Williamsport; and Calvin and Ella of Mechanicsburg.
Crystal retired from the Pennsylvania College of Technology, and George retired from the South Williamsport School District.
A family picnic will be held in Harrisburg honoring their golden anniversary.
