Gary L. Hess and Connie J. (Artman) Hess of Jersey Shore were married on Sept. 2, 1972, by the Reverend Fredrick Haskarl at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
Mr. Hess is employed by UPMC and Mrs. Hess retired from Novitas Solutions in 2015. They are active members of Messiah Lutheran Church in South Williamsport.
They are parents to three children: Angel (Matthew) Signor, of Williamsport; Eric Hess, of Lock Haven; and William (Megan) Hess, of Jersey Shore. They have six grandchildren.
A celebration dinner was given to them by their children. A trip is being planned.
