Mr. and Mrs. Steven W. Rupert, of South Williamsport, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 16, 2022.
They were married by the Rev. Hugo W. Shroeder Jr. at Messiah Lutheran Church, South Williamsport.
Mrs. Rupert, the former Sharon Denius, is a native of South Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late McClellan and Esther Denius. She is a graduate of South Williamsport and a retired paraprofessional/personal aide of the school district.
Mr. Rupert, a native of South Williamsport, is the son of the late John Rupert and Margret Mendler. He is also a graduate of South Williamsport. He retired as board secretary/business manager of Montgomery Area School District in June 2011.
They are the parents of twins, Jason Rupert, of Loyalsock Township, and Stephanie Kraynak, of Williamsport; and daughters, Heather Smith-Rupert and Alexandrea (Ali) Rupert, both of South Williamsport.
In honor of their anniversary, the family went on summer vacation to Brigantine, N.J.
