Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Emerick, of Nisbet, are celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary June 10, 2023. They were married at Saint Lawrence Roman Catholic Church by Father Breslin on June 10, 1978.
Mrs. Emerick, the former Ellen Sue Churba, is the daughter of the late J. Richard Churba and Helen Marie Mahonski Churba. She graduated in 1973 from South Williamsport Area High School. She retired after 35 years of service from the Williamsport Area School District.
Mr. Emerick is the son of the late Ann Emerick and Richard C. Emerick. He is a 1972 graduate of Williamsport Area School District, and served 26 years with the United States Naval Reserves. He retired in 2001, after 24 years of service with the Williamsport Bureau of Fire.
In honor of their 45th wedding anniversary, a surprise family celebration is being held at The Big Red Barn in Sunbury.
