Mr. and Mrs. Lunz, of Warrensville, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 15, 2023. They were married by the Rev. B. E. Mieruniski in 1963 at St. Francis DePaul Church in Ford City.

Mrs. Lunz, Rosemary, is the daughter of the late Victor Skubel and Regina Skubel, of Ford City. She is a 1961 graduate of Ford City High School and a 1963 graduate of the School of X-Ray Technology at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning.

Mr. Lunz, Ray, is the son of the late William Lunz and Jane Lunz, of Ford City. He is a 1961 graduate of Ford City High School and a 1962 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics in Pittsburgh.

Shortly after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Lunz moved to Connecticut, where Mr. Lunz was an aircraft mechanic for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Division of United Aircraft Corp., East Hartford.

In 1967, the happy couple moved to Warrensville, as Ray started working for Avco. He remained there until he became ill with an unknown virus, which resulted in his being disabled.

Rosemary was an x-ray technician at Divine Providence Hospital for several years before moving on to Wundies Inc. where she worked until her retirement. After her retirement, she began helping care for her husband, and she is now his primary caregiver.

Ray and Rosemary were both active in the Eldred Township Volunteer Fire Company, with Ray being involved for over 50 years.

Mr. and Mrs. Lunz have two daughters, Teresa (Mike) Winder, of Brunswick, Maryland, and Deborah (Steve) Engel, of Linden. They also have six grandchildren: Marissa, Holly, Philip, Regina, Stephen and Sharon, and a 3-month-old great-granddaughter, Finley.

A family celebration will be held in their honor.
