Mr. and Mrs Parvin E. Miller, Allenwood, observed their 50th wedding anniversary April 28, 2023.
They were married by the Rev. Joseph Fox at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Bastress Township.
Mrs. Miller the former Sharon M. Baier is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Charles A. and Ann E. Baier. She graduated from Immaculate Conception Grade School, Jersey Shore High School and Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing.
She is the owner of S.M. Miller Greenhouse in Elimsport.
Mr. Miller, a native of Montgomery, is the son of the late William O. and Elsie M. Miller. He graduated from Montgomery Area High School and retired after 44 years from Sheet Metal Workers Local 44.
They are the parents of two sons and three daughter; Craig A., of Montgomery; Jacob A., of Dover; Shannon M. Carpenter, of Ashland, Va.; Elizabeth A. Clemens, of Chesapeake, Va. and Kimberly J. Long, of Jersey Shore. They have seven grandchildren and one on the way also two step grandchildren.
A family celebration and vacation at Raystown Lake is planned for August 2023.
