Loyalsock Township couple celebrates 50 years

Nancy and Kurt Renninger celebrated their 50th anniversary on July 28.

They were married in 1973 after dating since their sophomore year at Loyalsock Township High School.

Mrs. Renninger, the former Nancy Louise Aho, is the daughter of the late Mary Ellen and Toivo Otto Aho. She graduated in 1969 from the Loyalsock Township High School and in 1973 from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in art education. Nancy was an art teacher in the Williamsport Area School District for 30 years until she retired in 2004.

Mr. Renninger is the son of the late Mary Elizabeth and Norman Glace Renninger. He graduated from Loyalsock Township High School in 1969 and the Pennsylvania State University in 1973 with a degree in elementary education. Kurt taught in the Muncy School District for 30 years until retiring in 2003.

They are the parents of Kelle (Rob) Robinson who lives in Linden and Kyle (Ali) Renninger who lives in Raleigh, NC. They have three granddaughters, Ashlyn Robinson, Brynn Robinson, Grayson Renninger, and one grandson, Blake Renninger.
