Mr. and Mrs. Steven R. Haefner observed their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 11. They were married in Key West, Florida.
Mrs. Haefner, the former Eva M. Mara, is a native of Key West and the daughter of the late Patricia A. and CPO Ernest F. Mara, U.S. Navy. She graduated from Key West High School, class of 1972 and retired from ManorCare Health Services. She works part time for Bedrock Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Mr. Haefner is a native of Williamsport and the son of the late Marie K. and Joseph C. Haefner. He attended Williamsport Area High School. He served 21 years in the Army, retiring in 1993. He also retired from New England Motor Freight and currently works part time for Entz Trucking as a driver. They have two children and four grandchildren. They renewed their vows on Aug. 5, at Church of the Resurrection, Muncy with Father Sean Carpenter officiating. A reception was held at the Muncy American Legion Post 268 with family and friends. A trip was taken to Las Vegas.
