Roy and Elizabeth (Betsy) Belcher, of Williamsport, will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on September 14, 2023.
They were married September 14, 1963, by Rev. Harold I. Peterson at Memorial Baptist Church, Williamsport.
The former Elizabeth E. Westphal, a native of Williamsport, is the daughter of the late John and Gladys Westphal. She graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1962 and has been retired since 2019.
Roy Belcher III, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Emma and Roy Belcher Jr. He graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1957 and served from 1957 to 1962 in the United States Air Force. He is co-owner of Belcher's Fence Co. in Williamsport and continues to have an active role in the business.
Together, Roy and Betsy are the proud parents of four children: Kimberly Yonkin (William), of Florence, S.C., Chad (Kimberly), of Loyalsock, Lon (Brenda) of Salladasburg, and Neil (Monique) of Leesburg, Virginia. They also had a son, Jeffery, who is now deceased.
They have nine grandchildren: Phillip, Joshua, Zachary, Emma, Danielle, Mariah, Andre, Roman and Grace.
In honor of their anniversary, a celebration at a family cabin in Montoursville is planned.
