Gary and Cathy Younkin celebrated 50 years of marriage on May 4.
Gary and Cathy were married on May 4, 1974, at Tom's Run United Methodist Church near Waterville by the Rev. Himes. They reside in Trout Run. Gary is retired from a career with the U.S. Postal Service and Cathy is a homemaker.
They have two children, Amy Beiter and Ben Younkin, and five grandchildren, Skylor, Kayla, Cameron, Ashlynn and Lauren.
The couple spent a week in Aruba to celebrate and family and friends also surprised them with a celebratory dinner at the Valley Inn.
