Cogan Station couple reaches 50-year mark

Tina and Mark Weitlich of Cogan Station celebrate 50 years of marriage. They were married June 22, 1974 in Annunciation Catholic Church. They are now members of Old Time Baptist Church in Loyalsockville.

Tina is the daughter of the late Clara and Ambrose Gerber of Williamsport. Mark is the son of the late Norma and Ernest Weitlich of Sinking Spring.

Mark and Tina are the parents of five children, Andrea (John) Abernatha of Huntersville, David (Kasandra) of Williamsport, Karen (Tim) Prisk of Bellefonte, Steven (Sarah) of Round Hill, Va., Nathan (Sarah) of Appleton, Wisc. They have 13 grandchildren.

Tina was a deaf interpreter for the Williamsport Area School District for 23 years. Mark was a self-employed carpenter for 36 years full-time and 8 years part-time. He built 3 homes for his family at nights and on Saturdays.

The Weitlichs have been on 11 trips with Kohl Building Products and Your Building Center. They also have been to 49 states and hopefully Hawaii in the future.

Family and friends gathered at Loyalsock Township Social Hall to celebrate.
