Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Batkowski observed their 60th wedding anniversary on June 20, 2024.
They were married by the Rev. M. Everling at St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church. They are members of St. Ann Church.
Mrs. Batkowski, the former DeRonda Smith, is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Betty and Elwin Smith. She graduated from Canton High School with the class of 1960 and State Beauty School and is a homemaker.
Mr. Batkowski, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Florence and John T. Batkowski. He graduated from Williamsport High School with the class of 1962 and retired in 2006 from Textron Lycoming after 30 years.
They are the parents of a son, John, of Castro Valley, Calif, and a daughter, Jane Varo, of Rocklin, Calif. There are two granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
