Jean and Scott Lowery, of South Williamsport, will observe their 60th wedding anniversary, August 21.
They were married by the Rev. Frederick Hasskarl at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Williamsport.
Jean, a graduate of South Williamsport High School, has enjoyed a successful career as a seamstress, currently employed by Timeless Furniture & Interiors, Inc. She is active with the South Williamsport Mummers Association and as a volunteer at Christ Episcopal Church.
Scott graduated from South Williamsport High School, the University of Houston and is a United States Air Force veteran. He professionally served as Little League Baseball's Central Regional Director, Grit Publishing Company public relations director, and retired as the Lycoming County United Way executive director in 2017.
In retirement he serves as an assistant basketball and softball coach for South Williamsport High School, is a columnist for Webb Weekly and is an IHeart Media radio broadcaster for the Little League Baseball World Series.
The couple has a daughter, Denise Foster (Ric) of Camp Hill and a son Douglas Lowery (Angie) of Newville, PA. There are five grandchildren; Cole Haldeman, Chase and Madeline Foster and Mikayla and Tucker Lowery.
