MARGARET and JAMES CARPENTER

Mr. and Mrs. James G. Carpenter together with their children and grandchildren celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 5th, 2024. The couple received a special nuptial blessing from Rev. Sean Carpenter, along with a renewal of their marriage vows.

Mrs. Carpenter, the former Margaret Bennett, graduated in 1973 from Montoursville Area High School and later from the Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing. She is retired after 30 years of nursing at the Muncy Valley Hospital.

James is a 1973 graduate of Montgomery Area High School and from the United Association apprenticeship program. He is a retired 50 year member of Local union 520 Plumbers and Steamfitters in Harrisburg.

The couple has three sons and one daughter. Brent Carpenter(Carrie) Dillon and Madison, Rev. Sean Carpenter, Jonathon Carpenter (Stephanie) Emett and Emery, Collette McGruder (Jay) Deklen, Caelan, and Micaela.

Their celebration has continued throughout the year with many family get togethers for special events along with traveling to the Florida Keys and taking an Alaskan cruise in the spring.
