Diana (Eck) and Michael Persun, of Nippenose Valley, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on May 31, 2025.
They were married by the Rev. Joseph Fox at Immaculate Conception, Bastress.
Mrs. Persun, a native of Bastress, is the daughter of the late James and Irene Eck. She graduated from Jersey Shore Area High School in 1968 and is a homemaker.
Mr. Persun, a native of Nippenose, is the son of the late Casper and Mary Persun. He graduated from Jersey Shore Area High School in 1970 and retired from Williamsport WireRope after nearly 50 years of service.
They are the parents of Michael (Michele), Cory (Amy), Lindsay (Bryan) Stamm, Janelle (John) Hein, Shawn, Richelle (Steve) Sampsell and Rodrick (Beth). There are 26 grandchildren.
Their children will be having a dinner in their honor and a family beach vacation is scheduled for this summer.
