Hughesville couple celebrates 68 years

Annette and Kenneth Entz of Hughesville will observe their 68th wedding anniversary on July 27, 2025. United in marriage by the Rev. Leo J. Post, they were married at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Williamsport on July 27, 1957, where they are members.

Mrs. Entz, the former Annette Kathryn Bender, is the daughter of the late Veronica (Borowski) and James Bender Sr. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1952 and retired from Fluid Systems International. She spent many years volunteering in her church and the Community Arts Center.

Kenneth is the son of the late Caroline (Gresh) and Granville K. Entz. He graduated from Williamsport High School in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1956. He is the former owner of The Lantern, Hughesville, and retired from Bethlehem Steel and Williamsport Wirerope Works Inc. Kenneth also served on the Wyrope Credit Union Board for over 19 years.

Kenneth and Annette are the parents of two sons, Kenneth (Susan) Entz Jr. of Eliot, Maine; and Kevin (Cherie Murray) Entz of Montoursville; and a daughter, Veronica (Thomas) Crouse, also of Montoursville. They have five grandchildren; Victoria Entz, Wyatt (Brooke) Entz, Cassandra (Ben Burkett) Crouse, Erika Entz and Emily Entz. They have one great-grandchild, Morea Entz.
