Julianna M. (Judy) McElrath and Richard L. (Farmer) VanBuskirk, of Muncy, will observe their 70th anniversary on September 2, 2025. They were married by the Rev. Raymond Shaheen at Messiah Lutheran Church’s Little Chapel of the Good Shepherd. They are members of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Muncy.

Mrs. VanBuskirk, a native of Nescopeck, is the daughter of the late Ethel and S. Glenn McElrath. She graduated from South Williamsport High School in 1949 and was employed by the former E. Keeler Co. and Bell Telephone Co.

Mr. VanBuskirk, a native of Muncy, is the son of the late Grace and Roy Van Buskirk. He graduated from Muncy High School in 1951 and served in the Korean War from 1953 to 1955. He was employed by Lycoming Silica Sand, Montour Auto Service Company, Getty Pipeline and retired from Star Enterprise, Delaware City, Delaware.

They are the parents of three daughters, Karen Spring of Muncy, Linda DeMoss of Parsonsburg, Maryland and Stacey Hartnett of Wilmington, Delaware, and a son, Kevin of Townsend, Delaware. There are eight grandchildren, one deceased and six great-grandchildren.

A family gathering is planned for Labor Day Weekend.
