Williamsport couple celebrates 70 years
Mr. and Mrs. James R. Coleman, Sr., of Williamsport, observed their 70th wedding anniversary on February 24th.
They were married by Army Chaplain CJ Lively, Jr., in the chapel at Fort Jackson, SC.
Mrs. Coleman is a native of Williamsport and a graduate of Williamsport Area High School. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked at the former Good News Bible Bookstore in Newberry.
Mr. Coleman also is a native of Williamsport and a graduate of Williamsport Area High School. He served in the Army and was employed by Keystone Furniture Galleries in Muncy.
They are the parents of a son, James, Jr. (Monica) and two daughters, Susan (Barry) Opdahl and Sandra (Steve) Bair, as well as a bonus daughter, Sandi (Rick) Douglass. They have 6 grandsons and 2 great grandsons.
They were honored at a dinner hosted by their children.
