On June 16, 2026 Francis (Frank) E. Eck and Vivian A. Steinbacher Eck will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary.

Frank is the son of Frank E. and Florence Wagner Eck of Williamsport. Vivian is the daughter of Herman G. and Wilhelmina S. Baier Steinbacher of Bastress. Frank is a graduate of Williamsport High School in 1955 and Vivian is a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in 1953.

They are members of Immaculate Conception Church and reside in Nisbet Heights in the home built by Frank.

Frank’s employment included eight years with Trimtex, twenty-one years at Ille Electric of Williamsport, numerous other jobs and is currently employed part-time as a driver for Fisher Auto Parts.

Vivian spent the first thirty-two years of her marriage happily being a homemaker and a mother to their five daughters. Being a twenty-five year 4-H Leader and driving their children to various music lessons also kept her busy. At age 53 she became Office Manager for Catholic Social Services and retired at age 73.

We are the proud parents of Jacqueline who enjoys volunteering at her church, sorority and the Tapping Grannies, lives with her husband, LTC Tony Meyer, RTD, in North Chesterfield, VA. Dr. Kathleen, Past President of Mercyhurst University in Erie, lives with her husband, Gary Getz, a retired Chemical Engineer in Chester, MD.; Elaine, Sr. Vice-President of CHOP Physician Services resides with her husband, Dr. Lawrence Gallagher, owner of Villanova Veterinary Hospital, in Villanova; Erin, a Chemistry Teacher at Council Rock School District resides with her husband, David Arnoldi, Co-Owner of Indian Valley Appraisal in Chalfont. and Melanie, a Middle School Choir Teacher for Quakertown School District, resides with her husband, Geoffrey Hazelrigg, Owner of Hazelrigg Industries, in Chalfont. We also are the proud grandparents of eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to all of the above we both found time to volunteer our time to help with projects at our church and various other organizations. Later this Summer we will be hosting a cruise vacation to Bermuda with our daughters and sons-in-law.

We are most grateful to God for the blessings He has bestowed on us throughout our seventy years together.
