Mr and Mrs. Michael McGovern of South Williamsport announce the engagement of their daughter Alayna Catherine McGovern to Hunter Mason Smith.
Hunter is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rhett Smith of South Williamsport.
Alayna is at 2021 graduate of South Williamsport Area High School and graduated from Penn West University in 2025 majoring in bachelors of science in nursing. She is employed by UPMC as a registered nurse. She is currently enrolled in Penn west pursuing a degree as a nurse practitioner graduating in 2029.
Hunter is a 2021 graduate of James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg. He is a graduate from Penn West with a degree in athletic training and is currently employed by PMF.
A spring 2027 wedding is being planned.
